My first idea upon seeing the holes was decompression sickness. Maybe because these holes look a bit like there were bubbles coming out of his tissues to me… Sounds a bit silly, but well, it is known as divers’disease, isn’t it?
Nevermind, reread the older pages. Charlie was blue in Bravo… so it looks like Charlie turns blue when he’s maybe not 100% confident of what he’s doing or talking about.
Oh, so those holes are still there! The plot thickens!
I was expecting just one hole, as if the mark about his left collarbone was foreshadowed to turn into one. Oh crud, the trypophobia ensues!
Aaaaand we just had to put a name to it >.< Ahhh Jon, where are you going with this?! D:
And when did that banner update!?! xD
Since a while ago the banner holes just kinda… shrink and grow.
I only know enough to guess addiction, salt (seawater) erosion, or slow death (maybe drowning while dreaming of svalbard? idk)

Made me think of the bends, too. The air fizzing out of the diver’s hose in the last flashback did too.
ugh. I’ve had dreams like panel four. Unpleasant.
Collect all aspects to become holesome! …I’ll see myself out.
I just love the concept of the physical embodiment of confidence worrying about him.
I guess that’s when you know you’re really in trouble.
I’m not sure that’s Charlie… since when has Charlie been blue?

I thought that too. It doesn’t seem always to be the case, but it’s an interesting “rule of thumb.”
